This series is strongly reminiscent of Bob's welded steel work, which consisted of jumbled pieces of rebar and metal strips. He was one of the first artists to work with a welder, and the resulting work is possibly his most abstract, bearing little resemblance to his fairly ordered Trash and Assemblage work. These plotters recreate the chaotic feeling of those works, ironic considering the strictly ordered and code-based nature of their creation.
